Definition

Describing a person is describing people by mentioning the physical characteristics that person has.

           1.      Vocabulary

Vocabulary in Indonesian means “kosa kata”. Vocabulary is all the words used in a language in general or a particular field in particular.

Vocabulary Types:

a.      Active Vocabulary

Active vocabulary is a collection of words that are understood and used when speaking and writing in everyday life.

b.      Passive Vocabulary

Passive vocabulary are words that we may recognize, but are not commonly used in normal communication.

c.       Expressive Vocabulary

Expressive vocabulary is the vocabulary we use to express thoughts, namely the words we use in speaking and writing.

d.      Receptive Vocabulary

Receptive vocabulary is the vocabulary we understand in reading ang listening, or all the vocabulary we process when receiving information.
